Less than 15 minutes and you get this-
Impressive, huh?
Love love Korean kimchi, and love fried rice. For less than half the price at restaurants, you get a equally, if not more delicious meal at home. It’s another dinner staple.
Ingredients:
4 tbs cooking oil
1/2 small onion, chopped
4 cups of cooked rice
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 dash of soy sauce
1 dash of sesame oil
1 stalk of scallion, chopped
Directions
1. On medium heat, place oil in a wok. Add garlic and onion and stir until onion is translucent, about 4 minutes. Turn the heat up to medium-high, add chopped kimchi and stir for another 2 minutes.
*this recipe is vegetarian, if you’d like to add meat, feel free to add 1/2 cup of thinly sliced meat (beef, chicken, pork, spam, ham) at this point.
2. Add in the rice and keep stirring, 3 minutes. Add in a dash of soy sauce, sesame oil, and scallions, stir for about 2 minutes.
*3. An egg on top is like icing on the cake. Runny yolk going in the rice is beyond heavenly. Simply add in 2 tablespoons of oil in medium heat and drop the egg in. Sprinkle a little salt and pepper (optional), and let it sit for 2 minutes and you have yourself a nice little fried egg for your perfect meal.
